BAs are always treated as outsiders because of their proximity with the client in the early stages of the project. But BAs have to work in similar proximity with the Developers during the later part of the projects. So the way we make good relations with Client, we need to make good relations with the Development Team as well. Try these things and see if it works next time you face a similar situation. I doubt I would want be part of it either. The reason is that Developers + Designers may feel that I am stepping on their toes.
